Easter Peep Cupcakes!

Easter is just around the corner and I love making holiday goodies.  So today I had a little bit of fun with some Easter Peep Cupcakes.  They are SO easy, cute, and fun! You need the following things:
  • Cake Mix (whatever kind you want, I used Super Moist Chocolate)
  • Peeps
  • Robin Eggs (big or mini)
  • Vanilla frosting
  • Green food coloring
  • Cupcake liners
  • Toothpicks
  • Coconut shavings (optional)
The first thing you will do is bake the cupcakes as directed on the box and let them cool.
While they are cooling, take your vanilla frosting and green food coloring and go ahead and make it the color green you want (so it resembles grass, I just used 4 drops).  Once the cupcakes are cooled, frost them with the frosting then take a toothpick put it in the center of your peep and stick it in the cupcakes.  Put a little extra frosting on the robin egg and stick it next to your peep! Easy as that! I didn't have coconut shavings to use for the grass, but it would definitely makes it look more like it so I suggest it!

Have fun!
