Christmas Traditions - Pajamas and Christmas Lights

Our Mom has been doing some posts on Christmas traditions and I wanted to blog about a couple more that our family has.  Christmas Eve is just as exciting as Christmas day at our house.  It's a day of baking, delivering goodies to family and friends, Christmas music all through the house, and just enjoying each other.  The night of Christmas Eve, my parents always have new pajamas for us.  We each get handed our pajamas (wrapped, of course) and open them.  We immediately put our pajamas on and get cozy for the remainder of our evening,.  (The picture below is of Ali, our niece Kate, and I on Christmas Eve 2013 wearing our new pajamas!)

The next thing after putting our pajamas on is Christmas lights!   We all hop into 3 or so cars (including the pets), put on some Christmas music, and go and look at all the lights around town.  It's one of my favorite parts of the night.  It's also probably the most calm part of the holidays.  There is nothing better than getting in a heated car while it's cold outside with your family just going to see all the Christmas lights light up the neighborhoods around town.  I haven't been home in about a year and I am so excited to go home and be surrounded by family and do all our fun Christmas traditions.  We hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas season!
